Fashionista did a piece on how much Oxblood was being shown at the Fall 13 collections and there are already a few variations of it showing up in our stores for Fall. The colour is rich and makes a lovely change from all the black and brown of last season. It lends itself particularly well to being worn with brighter colours as well as mono chromatically.
There are lovely aubergine and maroon colours in the stores at the moment, there is no actual oxblood, we will probably have to wait until next winter for that but the plum tones are beautiful.
Anna Wintour wore oxblood with a bright orange which unfortunately doesn’t show up very well in the photograph, to one of the days at New York Fashion Week. I thought they looked amazing together. I love the colour contrasts that are being worn at the moment and have put a few combinations together to show what I mean. I bought a few bright coloured cashmere cardigans from J Crew while in New York, I couldn’t resist, the colours were absolutely amazing, and I have used those in the combinations because of their colours.

I think we should try and have a slightly more interesting winter, ditch the boring darker tones and inject a little colour everywhere!
